Getting there by car

Salzburg enjoys excellent connections to international motorways, making the city easy to reach. Traveling to the City of Mozart from inside Austria take the A1 or A10 autobahn, or drive in from Germany on the A8. Please note that for Austrian motorways a toll-road sticker (so-called "vignette") is required. If you arrive via Germany / Freilassing and through the city of Salzburg, no Austrian vignette is required. More info

Getting there by plane

The Salzburg Airport W.A. Mozart is the second largest airport in Austria and is served by numerous airlines. Click here for the Salzburg airport. Furthermore, the major international airports in Vienna and Munich are only about 2 to 3 hours away using public transportation. More info
